Journey into nature.

Pensthorpe is one of the most bio-diverse nature reserves in England, occupying over 700 acres of Norfolk countryside and prime habitat for a wealth of nature and wildlife. Owners, Bill and Deb Jordan’s focus on conservation have led Pensthorpe to becoming home of the BBC’s Springwatch programme, winners of multiple industry awards and a major visitor attraction – offering a nature reserve, multiple gardens, children’s play area, education facilities, café and shop.

The inspiration

Following many conversations with the Pensthorpe team, customers and wider partners, we helped them to refine their brand story and establish a strategic brand vision for the future. Together, we agreed that Pensthorpe is a destination for discovery and they exist to nurture nature today and bring it to life for tomorrow.

The idea

Meet ‘P’. We created and crafted a character (in more ways than one!). A friendly little bird named P accompanies you on your journey of discovery at Pensthorpe. The fusion of (1) a physical letterform P with (2) a brand character, named P, provides Pensthorpe with a multitude of creative brand opportunity.

Together with the brand strap line (Journey into nature), P takes flight across a range of brand-led communications, from advertising to digital and from print to packaging.
