Nor–Folk is a destination for stories, products and stays in Norfolk. Established as a design-led lifestyle brand by husband and wife creative team, Fiona and Bobby Burrage, also co-founders of The Click – the name Nor–Folk is a nod to the county in which they live and work, and a testament to their belief that it’s the people of Norfolk that make it such an inspiring and ambitious place.
Centred around their own lifestyle, interests and family, Fiona and Bobby live and breathe the brand ethos. Together with their son, Stanley, they are the Nor–Folk.
Our home is Norwich, Norfolk.
Norwich is a historic and creative city in Norfolk in the East of England. From the Middle Ages until the Industrial Revolution, Norwich was the largest city in England after London. Today, it’s the most complete Medieval city in the UK and a UNESCO City of Literature. Locals and visitors love our castle, two cathedrals, two universities and one of the oldest and largest outdoor markets in the country. Norwich is located within The Broads National Park and is a short drive from the vast expanses of the Norfolk coast.
The principle idea behind this brand is the name itself – in one fell swoop we took the name of the county we call home and reinterpreted it to combine people and place.
By simply adding a hyphen we transformed Norfolk to ‘Nor–Folk’. In terms of typographic arrangement for the logo, we purposefully split the new name over two lines to further emphasise the idea – seamlessly combining people and place.
Nor–Folk was born.
The Water Cabin is the latest chapter of the Nor–Folk brand journey – this remote waterside retreat sits on the bank of the River Thurne in the heart of the Broads National Park.
The Water Cabin is available to let via Airbnb and is our first Nor–Folk Stay.
