Our work is featured on Norwich’s new civic chains.

November 1st, 2016

Norwich has a new set of civic chains to replace the original chains which were created 256 years ago. The new chains and motifs will provide a storyboard for civic leaders to talk about Norwich’s rich history, which includes landmarks such as the castle and cathedral, industries such as chocolate making, shoe making, printing and aviation, as well as more recent achievements such as being awarded UNESCO City of Literature status.

A few years back, we created the identity and accompanying literature for Norwich’s UNESCO City of Literature bid. Little did we know that the logo would end up being cast in solid gold and paraded at significant civic occasions for years to come.

The new civic chains were designed and created by independent goldsmith, Sonkai. Sara and Craig, the founders of Sonkai are in fact clients of The Click – we created their brand identity almost a decade ago. It’s such a pleasure to see their business continue to grow and develop.

For your chance to see the Mayor and Sheriff wearing their official robes and chains in person, there is an open event at Sonkai, on Dove Street in Norwich, 5 November from 12 – 2pm.
