Celebrating client-agency friendships.

This weekend we enjoyed a visit to Snape Maltings in Suffolk. Formally a brewery, it is now an arts complex with a concert hall, gallery and a host of independent shops on the banks of the River Alde.

The beautiful concert hall is one of the main sites of the annual Aldeburgh Festival, of which the identity was created by design agency Silk Pearce. To commemorate their successful client-agency working relationship, they created an exhibition titled ‘Silk Pearce at Alderburgh Music: A 15 year friendship’.

In this disposable and budget-driven era, it’s both refreshing and inspirational to see such a long-standing client-agency relationship. Witnessing this level of loyalty from a client is great, although, one assumes it can only be sustained by the agency creating consistently fantastic work. As the name of the exhibition suggests, this isn’t just a ‘working relationship’ – it’s a ‘friendship’. 

Now in our tenth year, we know from experience that these are the best conditions to do great work. Trust, respect and loyalty are perfect ingredients for a successful (long-standing) client-agency relationship.
