We created Norwich Cathedral’s brand identity in 2009. Since then, we have delivered numerous design projects such as an advertising campaign, printed literature and a website. More recently, we were appointed to create a brand guidelines document, which could easily be adhered to by staff and external suppliers alike.

Like all great ideas, with hindsight, the solution seems so obvious. The word ‘guidelines’ was swiftly replaced with a more appropriate term. Likewise, throughout the document, the section headers and copy provided many opportunities to engage the reader with wit and humour.

The document was created as a digital resource with no hard copies produced at all, however, it was designed and visualised to appear like a physical pocket bible.
